GEARING UP FOR THE ECONOMIC UPTREND OF CENTRAL LUZON

Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) Cresendo Estate, the location of the Don Bosco (DB) Tarlac Cresendo Campus, is a  contemporary mixed-use development of 290 hectares which will include a 32-hectare Industrial Park and a 47-hectare commercial district. The establishment of DB Tarlac Cresendo Campus' Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Center aims to maximize this potential for businesses in this enclave that will need a workforce with high level of skills to drive economic growth. The DB Tarlac Cresendo will also offer Senior High School (SHS) education in the first few years, targeting a start date in 2024.

With the assistance of JASV Builders headed by Architect Joel Andrew Viray as the Project Manager, DB Tarlac has contracted the services of RR Ricafort Constructions owned and operated by Mr. Raffy Ricafort as the general contractor. Both Ar. Viray and Mr. Ricafort are past pupils of Don Bosco Tarlac belonging to the class of 1984 and 1987 respectively. Construction officially began last December 13, 2022, and is expected to finish within 320 days. Don Bosco Tarlac also received the first tranche of cash donation from Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) amounting to P60 Million, 60% of their pledge, as seed money for the construction of the Senior High School Building. ALI also pledged P20 Million for the TVET Center projected to open in 2025.

Planning sessions are being conducted to ensure a smooth transition between the main campus and the upcoming DB Tarlac Cresendo Campus. The SHS Lay Mission Partners had their whole-day planning last December 2, 2022 at the general contractor’s building near the DB Tarlac Cresendo site. Weekly meetings between DB Tarlac, DB Foundation, JASV, and ALI are being conducted for regular updating. On February 20, 2023, a whole-day planning session will be dedicated to finalizing the site development plan for the 6-ha. campus together with the stakeholders, and invited key persons like Fr. Dindo Vitug, SDB of One TVET, and Fr. Edwin Ulanday, SDB, current Provincial Economer, representative of DB Foundation, and incoming Rector of DB Tarlac.

As Tarlac and its surrounding provinces emerge as the industrial powerhouses of Luzon, Don Bosco Cresendo is envisioned to play an essential role in its development. As a new educational hub situated in a conducive environment, Don Bosco Tarlac Cresendo is positioned to become a breeding ground for future public servants and community leaders that will contribute to the rise of Central Luzon.
