Past Pupils of Don Bosco Technical Institute of Tarlac trooped to DBTI gymnasium on Saturday, January 11, to celebrate their Grand Alumni Homecoming hosted by the class of ’70 and the class of ’95.

Aptly dubbed “All Roads Will Lead You Home”, almost a thousand alumni from Tarlac, nearby provinces and cities, and those residing abroad came home to join the annual festivity.A celebrated mass sponsored by the Silver and Golden Jubilarians was held at 3 o’clock in the afternoon to kick off the reunion.
In the evening, dinner was held with a musical entertainment featuring Batch 1995’s band the “Delubyo Band” as the front act and Bamboo as the main celebrity performer which at one point was joined by the silver jubilarians on the stage to render a song and dance number together.The program included the turnover ceremonies between the outgoing DBTPPA board and the incoming 2020 - 2022 DBTPPA officers led Past President Arch. Joel Viray andCurrent President Engr. Michael J. David respectively.
In his acceptance speech, DBTPPA President Mico stated that he is committed to fostering an environment of transparency and inclusivity, and the new board will set up programs that will build a sense of camaraderie and encourage positive involvement of all Don Bosco Tarlac past pupils.Another highlight of the celebration is the conferment of Natatanging Bosconian award given to an eminent alumnus.
The Natatanging Bosconian award was conferred to Peter Paul F. Soliman of Batch 1985. Pipo is one of the ex-officio members of the DBTPPA board being one of the past presidents of the Don Bosco Tarlac alumni association previously.
Other notable alumni were also recognized for their service to Don Bosco, the community and for being role models to Bosconians and their fellow past pupils.
These are: Ladislao Z. Avila Jr. of Batch 80, Alejandro F. Frenandez of Batch 70, Guillermo P. Francia IV of Batch 81, George Ryan T. Hipolito of Batch 95, Frederick L. Iglesia of Batch 95, Frederick P. Isla of Batch 95, Michael Lababit of Batch 86, Peter Agustos Mallari of Batch 88, Conrado Orquiola of Batch 70, Roberto P. Ventura Batch 79 and Jerry V. Yutuc of Batch 95.
Everyone was ecstatic on meeting old friends and the host, Betong (of Bubble Gang), made the night even more fun for everyone.
