THEME

The logo for Don Bosco Tarlac’s 77th Founder's Celebration is a striking visual narrative, seamlessly weaving together symbols that echo the theme, "Rooted in Holiness, Growing in Strength."

At its heart, the number 77 stands tall as the central figure, symbolizing the institution’s steadfast foundation. Its bold, tree-like form evokes the sturdy trunk of a thriving tree, embodying the school’s deep-rooted commitment to holiness and unwavering growth in strength. This tree trunk conveys stability and faithfulness, serving as a reminder of the school’s Salesian heritage and enduring legacy.

On one side, the green leaves flourish, embodying growth, vitality, and renewal. They reflect Don Bosco Tarlac’s continuous pursuit of excellence and its nurturing environment that fosters the holistic development of each Bosconian. The leaves remind us that growth is an ongoing process, one that thrives when rooted in strong values and a vibrant Educative Pastoral Community.

On the other side, the flames of fire, rendered in radiant yellow, represent the presence of the Holy Spirit, a guiding light that illuminates the path toward holiness. The flames also symbolize passion and zeal—an unquenchable drive to exemplify and spread Don Bosco’s mandate to be “Good Christians and Upright Citizens. Together, they inspire a burning commitment to spiritual growth and community service.

The colors—yellow, blue, and green—are more than mere adornments; they are emblematic of Don Bosco Tarlac. These hues harmonize to reflect the dynamic and spirited identity of the institution.

The logo, with its profound symbolism, mirrors the essence of a thriving tree—deeply rooted, yet always reaching upward. It encapsulates the journey of Don Bosco Tarlac, 77 years strong, ever faithful to its mission of nurturing Bosconians to grow in strength, grounded in holiness.

RATIONALE

Inspired by the rector’s pastoral thrust, “God wants us to be holy,” the Founder’s Week Celebration 2025 embodies the theme, “Rooted in Holiness, Growing in Strength.” This annual event draws inspiration from the life of St. John Bosco, who exemplified holiness through prayer, excellence, character, and service. As our saintly father and founder, Don Bosco’s life serves as a beacon of what it means to be firmly grounded in faith while striving to grow in virtue and strength.

Beyond the school grounds, the Founder’s Week extends St. John Bosco’s mission to the larger community, urging everyone to embrace and embody the institution’s core values. Through pastoral activities, formative events, and outreach programs, the celebration becomes a testimony to the enduring relevance of Don Bosco’s mission. It is a reminder that holiness is not an abstract ideal but a reality accessible to all, achievable through steadfast prayer, compassionate service, and a commitment to personal growth.

In this week-long journey of reflection and action, we are called to deepen our roots in holiness and draw strength to face life’s challenges with faith and courage. Thus, the celebration not only honors the legacy of St. John Bosco but also inspires a community united in its resolve to grow stronger in spirit and purpose.
